About Me

Quinsonta Boyd

Quinsonta, a graduate of Roosevelt High School and owner of Boyd Media LLC, grew up in Saint Louis City, frequently moving and changing schools. When asked about his future aspirations, he often provided typical answers but felt uncertain about his path. His interest in video production ignited with the rise of smartphones, as he couldn't afford a camera. Eventually, he attended Roosevelt High School, where he discovered a TV Production class.

Determined to join, Quinsonta initially found himself placed in construction but seized the opportunity to participate in an after-school program focused on creating a short documentary, leading to his acceptance into the TV Production program. There, he gained hands-on experience filming high school sports, touring production warehouses, and working in the SLPS TV studio, which opened doors to opportunities with STL TV, SLPS, and Fox 2 News.

Now the owner of his own production company, Quinsonta has freelanced with organizations like UMSL, Big Brothers Big Sisters, STL Battlehawks, and the BGG Foundation. He believes that connections are built from opportunities created by individuals who genuinely care.

Quinsonta supports the BGG Foundation due to his passion for gaming, which extends beyond mainstream titles enjoyed by his peers. While he appreciates games like Madden and Call of Duty, he also loves titles like Naruto and Kingdom Hearts. What started as a fun pastime has evolved into career-driven pathways in gaming, and BGG fosters relationships and events that promote this narrative. Participants at BGG events have found friendships, competitions, gaming coaches, and scholarships, aligning with Quinsonta's values and inspiring his continued support for the foundation.
